Nu Metal is a subgenre of metal music that emerged in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It combines elements of metal, hip-hop, alternative rock, and other genres. While some purists may argue that Nu Metal is not "real" metal music due to its incorporation of non-traditional elements, others consider it a legitimate and innovative evolution of the genre.
